What are the hours for the marketplace?

Friday, August 3: 4 PM – 8 PM
Saturday August 4: 11 AM to 8 PM
Sunday, August 5: 10 AM – 2 PM

Where is the Wakandacon Marketplace?

The Wakandacon marketplace is located in Salon D on the lower level of Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan.

How many vendor booths are available?

There are 113 vendor booths available.

How many attendees will be at Wakandacon?

We are anticipating 3000+ attendees over the entire weekend.

What time can vendors set up?

Vendors can begin setting up their space at 12 noon on Friday August 3 before the attendees have access at 4 PM. Vendors should be ready to welcome customers when the marketplace opens.

Do I have to be onsite for all three days to be a vendor?

Yes! Vendors must be present for all three days; this does not include the additional hours we have set aside for set-up and preparation before the official opening of Wakandacon. Someone, however, must be at your booth at all times during the marketplace open hours during the event Friday through Sunday. Vendors who abandon their booths or breakdown early will be excluded from participation at future events.

Do I have take my merchandise at home at the end of each day?

No! The Wakandacon Marketplace will be locked by Hilton Chicago staff each night and re-open the next day before programming begins.

Do I need to buy a badge to be a vendor?

No! Each vendor will receive two badges to Wakandacon. If vendors require more than two badges to Wakandacon, they will need to purchase them.

How do I register to be a vendor at Wakandacon?

To register to be a vendor, vendors must receive a unique code to activate an account in our Vendor Marketplace Dashboard. Once vendors have activated their account, they can sign the vendor agreement, select the location of their booth, and pay the vendor registration fee. How much does it cost to be a vendor at Wakandacon?

  • 10 ft by 10 ft space with no table: $355
  • A 10 ft x 10 ft booth space with a 6 ft table: $375
  • A 10 ft x 10 ft booth space with an 8 ft table: $395

Booths with a table will also receive two chairs and a wastebasket for their space.

How do I pick the location of my booth?

Vendors can log-in to the marketplace dashboard and select their booth assignments after paying for their booth space.

I’ll need wifi and electricity while I’m in the Marketplace.

If a vendor requires wifi and electricity to operate their booth, they can purchase wifi and electricity from Hilton Chicago.

What time is the Marketplace closed for the weekend?

The Marketplace will close on Sunday August 5 at 2pm. Vendors are required to vacate the space by 8pm on Sunday August 5.

Is anything prohibited in the Marketplace?

The following activities are prohibited in the Marketplace at all times: Smoking or any burning of objects; vaporized chemicals and diffusers of scents; sales of food or beverage products that are not pre-packaged; consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages or illicit substances; sales of bladed weapons; sales of 18+ material.

Vendors shall keep all designated areas clean and will not nail, screw, or attach anything to the exhibit hall space. Vendors are asked to use only masking tape or pins in fabric panels to hang temporary decorations, and refrain from using staples, nails, tacks or other forms of tape. Vendors are not to place stickers, paints, or deface venue materials in any permanent fashion. Signs, banners and flyers may not be posted on venue property.
